Biography:
2013: GP/GS – 6/5…Terrance re-joins the Shock after a decorated previous season as a kick return specialist and defensive back for Spokane in 2012. With his veteran presence in the defensive secondary surrounded by returning Shock DB’s in Paul Stephens and Patrick Stoudamire plus the addition of AFL veteran Cameron McGlenn, Sanders will be expected to contribute at a high level on special teams.

2012: In his second season as a member of the Spokane Shock, Terrance was on pace to set new franchise records before having his season cut four games short after suffering a wrist injury that would leave him on the Injured Reserve Roster for four weeks. Despite the setback, Terrance was able to register 75 tackles, 14 pass break ups, and 7 interceptions on the season. His largest impact for the team came on special teams where he returned 70 total kickoffs for 1,595 yards and 4 touchdowns. Terrance also took one of his three missed field goal returns for a touchdown. During the regular season, Terrance was named the JLS Ironman of the week twice and also Defensive Player of the Week. At the conclusion of the 2012 regular season, Terrance was named to the first-team all-arena team as a kick return specialist and second-team all-arena as a defensive back.
2011: Sanders recorded 81 tackles with five interceptions, 12 pass break-ups and two fumble recoveries for Spokane last season. On kick-off returns, Sanders collected 1,485 yards (averaging 20.3 yards per return – third in the league) with four touchdowns.
2010: As a member of the Arizona Rattlers, Sanders led the team in tackles (85) and pass break-ups (11). Sanders also added four interceptions. On special teams, Sanders returned 60 kicks for 1,082 yards (averaging 18 yards/return) with two returned for touchdowns.
2008: As a member of the Utah Blaze, Terrance recorded three tackles.
OTHER PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Playing in the af2, Sanders recorded 80.5 tackles, 16 pass break-ups, with seven interceptions. On kick returns, Sanders averaged 29.7 yards/return and scored 10 touchdowns.
PERSONAL: Sanders was a four-year member of the Eastern Illinois Panthers secondary helping EIU win back-to-back Ohio Valley Conference Championships in 2005-2006. During those two seasons he made 47.5 tackles with 16 pass break-ups, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and three interceptions. His final EIU interception came in the 2006 playoff game against Illinois State which he returned 87 yards for a touchdown. |
