July 1st, 2010 – Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that WR Raul Vijil has been placed on the Injured Reserve List. In another roster move, WR Greg Orton has been added to the roster.
Orton, who was in training camp with Shock earlier this season, signed a free agent contract with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2009 after he finished an outstanding career at Purdue. As a Boilermaker, Orton played in 50 games recording 203 receptions (fifth in school history) for 2,356 yards (sixth in school history) and 13 touchdowns.
Although this weekend’s line-up has not been released, Orton will be eligible to play.
Friday night, the Shock will host the Arizona Rattlers on Spokane Tribe Field at 8 PM. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by contacting TicketsWest.
