Saintil joins Shock

The Spokane Shock announced today that WR Cleannord Saintil has been added to the 2010 roster. Saintil. 6-0 195, spent the 2008 season with the San Jose SaberCats and led the team in receptions (120), receiving yards (1503), and touchdown receptions (35).

“Saintil is one of the most explosive receivers to ever play Arena Football,” Head Coach Rob Keefe said. “He is a very team-oriented player and he is hungry. His passion for the game is unparalleled.”

Saintil’s rookie season, in 2007, was cut short due to injury but he still managed to record seven touchdowns in only five games. In his first start as a receiver for the SaberCats, Saintil caught four touchdowns, including a 47-yard touchdown reception on his first catch. That season, the SaberCats won the ArenaBowl.

“I love to play for a winning team and I’m ready to bring more championships to Spokane,” Saintil said. “I just feel blessed to have an opportunity to play for the Shock and I’m excited to continue my career.”

For his part, Saintil is looking forward to returning to the field and playing in front of the sold-out crowds in Spokane.

“I like to compete and I like to win,” Saintil explained. “The fans put their money down for something that they love to watch. I want to put on a performance for them to see.”
