Introducing the 2008 Shock Dance Team

March 8, 2008: Spokane, WA - As the Big Easy opened its doors for the 2008 Dance Team Finals, Shock fans filtered into the building while nearly 30 women nervously waited backstage. Some paced back and fourth rehearsing their routines, while others hopelessly tried to quench their thirst with energy drink after energy drink.
 
Shortly after 8 PM the emcee for the evening’s festivities, KHQ’s Stephanie Vigil, took to the stage and after a brief outline of the program the show was underway. As the anxious crowd worked themselves into a SHOCK FEVER, the first group of dancers took to the stage.
 
The women were divided into small groups and performed a routine set to the hip-hop beats of Flo-Rida’s chart-topping song LOW. After each group performance, the women were allowed to show-off their own individual creative taste and style, performing an original piece of choreography set to a song of their choosing. Clearly a diverse group, the dancers choose everything from White Snake’s “Here I Go Again” to Linkin Park’s “Bleed it Out.”
 
After the group and individual performances wrapped up, the point totals were added up and the 2008 Shock Dance Team was introduced to the crowd. Originally, the team was to consist of 15 members but that number was increased to 17 due the overwhelming talent, according to General Manager – and Judge – Adam Nebeker.
 
“When the time came to make a decision, we had a hard time picking just 15,” Nebeker explained. “We increased the number to reflect the talent level that was shown at the finals.”
 
Nebeker also added that he is confident that in the ability of this year’s team. “I think this is going to be our best dance team yet. The talent on this dance team is equal to if not better then the Dance Team’s we have had here before.”
 
Without further adieu, here are the names of the 2008 Dance Team:
Chantel, Brianne (returning member – 2nd year), Rachel (returning member – 2nd year), Lynsie, Tracy, Kim (returning member – 2nd year), Kelsey, Courtney (returning member – 2nd year), Nadia Lisa, Marisha, Jenny, Lynette Sara, Casandra (returning member – 2nd year), Danielle, Kaila, and Cody (returning member – 2nd year).
