March 15, 2012 – Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today WR Doug Beaumont has been added to the 2012 roster. The Shock also released WR Julius Lloyd and moved OL Corey Brandon from the PUP List to the Injured-Reserve List.

Beaumont, 5-9 190, played in three preseason games for the Atlanta Falcons earlier this season and was also in camp with the Chicago Rush. Prior to his professional career, Beaumont was a teammate of QB Adam Froman at the University of Louisville where he recorded 141 receptions for 1,655 yards with one touchdown.

“Beaumont has an extra gear that really allows him to use his speed to get open,” General Manager Ryan Rigmaiden explained. “He has great hands and he runs very precise routes.”

Although the line-up for this weekend’s game has not been finalized, Beaumont will be eligible to play. Spokane will travel to San Antonio to take on the Talons Saturday night at 5 PM PST. You can listen to the game on ESPN 700 or watch it over the internet at www.ustream.tv/spokaneshock.

The Shock will return to the Spokane Arena on March 30th when they host the San Jose SaberCats on the NFL Network. Single game tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by contacting TicketsWest. Season tickets are also on sale now and can be purchased by calling the Shock Ticket Department at 509 242 7462.
