SPOKANE SHOCK SKILLS CHALLENGE

The Spokane Shock will hold its first ever Skills Challenge for youth in 1st through 8th grades on Saturday July 14th. The event is presented by Spokane Youth Sports Association and all proceeds raised will benefit Cancer Patient Care of Spokane. 

About the Event

WHEN:  Saturday, July 14th, 2012 at 9:00am

WHERE:  Central Valley School District’s Early Learning Center (the old University High School) 10304 E. 9th Ave., Spokane Valley, WA.  The activities will take place on the football field on the southwest side of the facility. Parking is in the lot off Herald Rd.

 

WHO:  Youth (boys and girls) in grades 1 through 8

 

WHAT:  The Shock Skills Challenge will test participants in 6 different categories:

·   Punting (distance)

·   Kicking from a tee (distance)

·   Passing (accuracy)

·   Passing (distance)

·   40-yard Sprint (time)

·   Agility Shuttle Run (time)

Winners in each division will be recognized LIVE in the Spokane Arena at the Spokane Shock game on Saturday, July 21.

WHY:  Participants will benefit from instruction, have a great time, make memories, and support a great cause in the process (all proceeds from this event benefit a local charity, Cancer Patient Care).

Cost: $25 with advanced registration ($30 if registered at the event)

Each participant will receive:

o Shock Skills Challenge TSHIRT

o 1 FREE ticket to the Shock game on July 21 (additional tickets can be purchased from the Shock for $10 (a savings of $4 per ticket from the regular price!)

o Instruction and autographs from select Shock players
