Spokane Shock in the Community

04/24/2012 3:15 PM -

The Spokane Shock would love to thank all of our supporters, especially those at Adams Elementary of Central Valley School District and Otis Orchards Elementary of East Valley School District who welcomed our players with open arms the past two weeks.

Adams Elementary - April 12th, 2012: We were happy to root on the Adams Eagles in support of their 2012 Walk-A-Thon which raised funds to create a new playground structure and was help on April 19th. In return for their laps around the playground and fundraising efforts, 450 kids were given prizes by local businesses and a surprise visit from four Shock players. Players attending Adams Elementary included Kenny Spencer, Brandon Sharpe, Freddie Harris, and Patrick Stoudamire.

Otis Elementary - April 17th, 2012. During our bye week, players were also given the opportunity to play football at Otis Orchards during their lunch recesses. Soon after arriving on the playground, players were surely given a run for their money. Beau Bell was lucky enough to take part in leading a lesson for one of Otis Elementary's esteemed 5th grade classes. We hope the kids had as much fun at both of these events as our players did, and we hope to attend many more community events in return for our fans’ continuous support! Players attending Otis Elementary included Terance Moore, Louis Holmes, Patrick Stoudamire, Josh Ferguson, and Beau Bell.

If you have any questions/comments regarding Community Events please contact the Shock's Director of Community Relations,  Christi Schofield at cschofield@spokaneshock.com or by calling her at the Shock Front Office at 509-242-7462 ext 35.
